School Readiness

The integrated programs are designed to provide the child with all the intervention required to fulfill his or her potential. The three programs are designed keeping mind different skill levels of the child. The training is done in a mix of group set up and individual sessions so that the children can progress to regular settings. Do note that different children attain different levels of skills at different times and hence the programs are based on skill levels instead of age.

Parent Training: A very important part of the child's development happens at home and with family, more so than what an educational institution can provide. So the parents or the primary caregivers have to be trained to help and nurture the children. So the associated trainings that Playstreet provides are mandatory for all parents/close family/caregivers.

NAUTI

Early Interaction and Communication Program

Targeted at the youngest children, this program users interaction as a base for developing every other skill that's needed for a child. For those children who are not ready to pay attention, find enjoyment in a two-way communication, copy what you do or say or interact with other people, this program would be a good start. This Program focuses on teaching Parents how to be the main facilitators at home in order to bring about more communication and other pre-language skills. It is an intensive program that involves working closely with a Speech and Language Therapist to help parents facilitate interaction and communication in home settings, an Occupational Therapist to help parents help their children through the sensory issues and a Special Educator to help parents learn strategies to develop the needed skills in their child. Based on the need, the children receive Oral Sensory and Motor Stimulation.

Program Details

The NAUTI Program is offered for 2 hours every day in the mornings from Monday to Friday. The program is offered as a block of 6 months. The parents will also undergo a series of intensive mandatory trainings once a week to help them become the best facilitators for their child.

SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAM

The BUTTERFLY Program is a special education program that facilitates differential education to meet the individual needs of every child attending the program. For instructional purposes, students are grouped on the basis of their individual abilities rather than their chronological age, thus providing an opportunity to nurture their strengths and improve upon their areas of need.

The BUTTERFLY Program addresses the educational needs of students and facilitates the development of play and social skills in them. In this program, the student learns to function in a typical school setting where they are expected to follow rules, interact with adults and peers, and meet the academic and behavioural expectations. Thus the PlayStreet School Readiness Program prepares the student for inclusion in a regular school setting.

In addition, students enrolled in the Butterfly Program also receive individual therapies i.e. speech and occupational therapies) from professionals in the clinic housed in our facility. Therapists also work with the special educator to integrate the student's therapy goals in the classroom.

Program Details

The BUTTERFLY Program hours are from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The program is offered for 1 year.
